Problem:
The video game Destiny had been out for two years, and after a widely-successful launch, players had become bored and abandoned the game. So, the Destiny creators made a DLC that contained new levels, new swag, and a brand new bad guy. We were tasked with making something that would inspire our old fans to come back and play the new DLC.

Insight:
When Destiny first launched, gamers spent countless hours becoming absolute legends in the game.

What if we celebrate that bad-assery on the big screen and drop a new challenge on them?

Idea: The Legend of You
The world’s first game trailer starring you.

We make a personalized commercial, using the player’s gamertag and stats. Partnering with TV streaming apps on Xbox and PlayStation, we created a gameplay trailer that uses the player’s stats, trick shots, and has our new boss call them out by name.

The personalized ads would be delivered on streaming services like Hulu or Network apps on PlayStation or Xbox.

Users could also go online to see other trailers starring the different characters they have and share the videos with friends.
